Is Nikita gonna pay when my store gets ripped off? Tell her to come do security and then lecture me on who to watch when she sees who’s stealing. Another lecture by a Liberal hypocrite. No thank you. And This from a black owned business.

I find cannot vote for either Ms Durkan or Ms Moon. And I won’t vote for either. How can I help you recover/use your power? For my reasoning: see www.bornforjoy.com

I was hoping Ms. Oliver would run a 3rd party try for Mayor, I would volunteer for that campaign in a second and I think she would have gained enough momentum to make a credible run for Mayor. Pls reconsider, you would win. And you are the only candidate who “gets” what is really important to fight for….

    Hey everyone,

I’m writing to express my gratitude and respect for the work that Nikkita and the Peoples Party did in Seattle. As the most demonstrably progressive candidate Seattle has had in years, with a political party virtually made from scratch in November- I hope to reinforce how powerful that is.

In this point in time you beat out a huge, huge pool of candidates and you did it with grassroots support. Not name dropping. You are role modeling what democracy should look like, if it was intersectional and truly merit based.

I hope you stick around, as a person and as a party. I don’t live in Seattle and I worked weekends in retail during much of your campaign, so far. So I feel awful that I could not do more for the campaign. But I hope that SPP continues to work in the interests of the public good and doesn’t fade into the wallpaper like DSA.

Life is too short to wait for moderate politicians to

accidentally enact (some of) the work more progressive (or radical) activists have been hammering out and working for, for decades. Please don’t be discouraged, at least not for too long. You probably know your accomplishments, nobody really does record breaking things on accident- but I hope you know how much love and hope you are generating right now. For better or worse, the US looks to Seattle for progressive policy standards and you are getting some well-deserved attention!

    http://crosscut.com/2017/08/seattle-peoples-party-is-first-us-manifestation-of-global-trend-nikkita-oliver/

I would be incredibly happy to devote my weekends to door belling for you, if the ballot counts can swing it (I left that retail job so I can swing it now).

This letter is already too long and not real eloquent so I will cut it off.

    God bless!

Hi, I do political analysis for KING, KIRO, the Times and KUOW. I would love to have coffee with Ms. Oliver to have an off the record talk about the race that helps me do commentary on the campaign. Best, Marco Lowe

How can I get buttons, signs, stickers, and flyers to encourage others to vote for Nikkita?

Dear Nikkita…I am an activist for Leonard Peltier for 28 years, and I stood across from the White House in Washington D.C.when I was 16 and protested…I survived against the odds in an abusive, alcoholic family, and I TRULY did survive…against the odds.., through self hatred and not knowing my own worth…to walking across the country for Native American rights and Leonard Peltier when I was 19. Then I went on to be a Bernie Sanders delegate and as a woman, I have been HEAVILY silenced and oppressed, threatened and bullied by HIGH UP LEADERS in the Democratic party. The more passionate I was and have been about Native American rights and for Leonard Peltier…the more I was silenced…and I am a passionate warrior woman. I am with the Standing Rock movement and the Water Protectors and I just marched with them two weeks ago from Seattle down to Tacoma, Washington. I have left the Democratic party after what they did to the Bernie or Bust people, and I am wondering if YOU would give me a chance to speak. IF YOU would not silence me and give me a chance to talk? My number is: 206-693-1995. Please…please do not shut me out. I am a poet and I have a voice…Here is a recent poem about Leonard Peltier: Introduction to Poem: Until Leonard Peltier is Free

I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND EVERYBODY THAT THIS WHOLE COUNTRY IS ON SACRED LAND. IN THIS HORRIBLE TIME THAT WE ARE IN NOW, AND THE FACT THAT WE ARE ON SACRED LAND, I WOULD LIKE TO REMIND EVERYBODY THAT THIS WHOLE COUNTRY IS ON SACRED LAND, AND I WORKED REALLY HARD AS A BERNIE SANDERS DELEGATE AND I NEVER WANT TO SACRIFICE MY INTEGRITY OR VALUES FOR THIS COUNTRY AND THIS POEM IS ABOUT THAT.

    UNTIL LEONARD PELTIER IS FREE

UNTIL THIS GOVERNMENT PAYS FOR THE SECOND BATTLE OF WOUNDED KNEE.

    IN 1973

AND PAYS BACK THE TRILLIONS WE TOOK FROM PINE RIDGE AND PROMISED THEM

AND FOR RAPING THE LAND AND KILLING AND MURDERING THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN

WHERE WE PAID DRUNK INDIANS TO KILL THEIR OWN PEOPLE IN THE 1970’S WITH THE SECOND BATTLE OF WOUNDED KNEE

    UNTIL LEONARD PELTIER IS FREE

UNTIL THE DUWAMISH RIVER RUNS UNPOLLUTED AND FREE

UNTIL SO MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT WORKING FULL TIME WHILE LIVING IN POVERTY

UNTIL THE ONE PERCENT DECIDEDS TO AGREE ON HIGHER TAXES AND ARE NOT PADDING THEIR WALLETS

UNTIL PEOPLE ARE LIVING SPIRITUALLY AND NOT FOR THEIR DEVICES

UNTIL PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND THE DREAM OF BLACK ELK: THE LEGACY…WE ARE NOT REALLY FREE

THIS COUNTY IS IN CHAINS, IN PRISON AND LOCKED DOWN AND THAT IS WHAT REMAINS

I AM ADOPTED LAKOTA BY HAZEL LITTLE HAWK AND RED BLANKET

AND THIS IS WHO I AM

NOT NATIVE BY BLOOD BUT LAKOTA BY HEART

WHERE I WAS REBORN IN THE LAND OF CRAZY HORSE

I WALKED ACROSS TH E COUNTRY IN 1992 FOR LEONARD PELTIER SO I COULD STOP LIVING IN FEAR

I GREW UP IN AN ABUSIVE FAMILY AND I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO BE ME

I DID NOT KNOW HOW TO HAVE A VOICE

BUT NOW I HAVE A CHOICE

ON MY WALK WE WERE CALLED WALK ACROSS AMERICA FOR MOTHER EARTH

I GO TO POW WOWS AND I DANCE THE INTERTRIBAL DANCES AND I BEAT THE DRUM

I DO IT FOR MYSELF AND FOR MY HEART

I AM NOT NATIVE BY BLOOD BUT I AM NATIVE BY HEART

UNTIL THIS COUNTRY CAN START ACTING ITS PART

THIS IS HOW I HAVE ALWAYS FELT FROM THE START

    I HAVEN’T WAVERED IN 28 YEARS

STILL THEY TRY TO SILENCE ME

BUT JUST AS GRASSROOTS ACTIVISTS FOR HUMAN ACTIVISTS NOT AFRAID TO SHED TEARS AND SHOW EMOTIONS FOR WHAT IS RIGHT FOR WHAT IS WRIGHT

AS A WOMAN AND A PERSON I HAVE NEVER BEEN ALLOWED A VOCIE

RIGHT NOW I HAVE A CHOICE AND I WON’T BACK DOWN

I AM UNSTOPPABLE AND I AM NOT AFRAID ANYMORE

SO TURNING 44 HAS GOT ME BOLD AND I AM OLD GETTING BOLDER

SO THE VOICE WILL GET LOUDER

    SO BRING OUT THE BULLHORNS

B/C THIS OLD HIPPY AIN’T GOING DOWN WITHOUT A PEACEFUL STORM

I AM GERONIMO, RED CLOUD AND BLACK ELK AND CRAZY HORSE

RED BLANKET AND ALL AND THE SAME

I KNOW ALL ABOUT YOU AND YOUR PAIN

I AM SWINOMISH, TULALIP, SNOQUALMIE, YAKIMA AND CREE

I AM APACHE, MENOMINEE, KICKAPOO AND CHEROKKEE

YOU SEE THESE WORDS ARE MUSIC TO ME

FOR I KNOW THE INDIAN WARS ARE NOT OVER

ADN FOR THIS FIGHT IN CREATOR AND GREAT SPIRIT, I AM TRASNFORMED

I AM A LIGHT BEING WATCH OTHER LIGHT BEINGS

DANCING, VIBRANCE AND FULL OF LIGHT

    RADIANT AND LIGHT

    MOTHER EARTH, DRUMBEAT, LIFEBLOOD

    BOOM BOOM BOOM

AIM SONG HEY YA HEY YA HEAYA

    TEARS, MOTHER EARTH, HEART FEELINGS

    I FEEL YOUR SPIRIT

    BOOM, BOOM BOOM

    DRUM BEAT, HEARTBEAT

    NATIVE AMERICA

I AM YOU AND YOU ARE ME

    OF THEE I SING

    TO AMERICAN NATIVE COUNTRY

    DRUM COUNTRY

    PIPE COUNTRY

    CRAZY HORSE COUNTRY

    CHIEF SEATTLE COUNTRY

CAN YOU HEAR THE DRUM? THANK YOU.

IN THE DANCE LIES MY SOUL

LIES MOTHER EARTHS’ HEARTBEAT LIES OUR HEARTBEAT WHETHER WE KNOW IT OR NOT

BUT I KNOW OF WHERE I CAN COME, WHERE MY SPIRITUAL LIFE LIES

AS SURE AS THE DRUMS STARS IS WHERE MY HEART BEGINS AND ENDS

IS THE DRUMBEAT WITH MOTHER EARTH’S DRUM

I SEE THE FEATHERS ANDAND THE JINGLES AND THE COLORS FLYING

    IT IS MY LIFE’S POEM

IN WONDERMENT, AND THE ANIMAL SPIRITS

I AM ELK, DEER HAWK AND LIGHT

    EAGLE AND NIGHT

I AM COUGAR AND BEAR AND LION AND LIONESS

    THROUGH THE FIGHT

THE FIGHT FOR WHAT IS BETTER AND TRUE

I AM AND WE ARE OUR ANCESTORS GERONIMO, RED CLOUD, AND BLACK ELK, CRAZY HORSE, AND RED BLANKET.

    Hi,

I was wondering if you had any plans for co-operative housing for low-income buyers in Seattle?  I moved from Dublin, Ireland where we also have very high house prices and this model works well with help from the city council:  “Most important news in Irish housing in years….Housing co-op sells Dublin houses for €140,000”   https://www.irishtimes.com/news/social-affairs/housing-co-op-sells-dublin-houses-for-140-000-1.3147094?mode=amp

I would be very grateful for a response,

    Thank you,

Also looking for yard/window signs, would be really great if you had campaign headquarters address and hours on your website, I just want to stop by, donate and get some signs.

How are you doing? I’m a Cap Hill resident and I saw a sign for an upcoming event this Sunday on my way to work. I was in a rush so I blitzed past it and when I came back in the evening it was gone. Furthermore I haven’t seen signs advertising this event anywhere in my area. I wanted to ask if there was any way you could provide or distribute more advertisements. I would happily put them up in my neighborhood Saturday.

Please feel free to call on me at any time. Very excited for the Campaign and the Peoples Party!

Yet Another Request for some yard signs… if they’re available, I’d like to put a couple in my windows as well as place them at strategic intersections in my neighborhood. Thank you!

I want a yard sign, too! I want to start some conversations in my neighborhood – by placing this sign next to my ‘Black Lives Matter’ sign.

Hello, I wanted to confirm that the Community Picnic is happening on July 23 at Powell Barnett Park from 1-3pm? I saw a flyer for it and want to blast it out to all my friends, but I don’t see an event for it anywhere online here or on the FB page, so wanted to confirm it is happening.

I represent 900 data science members of Seattle Data for Good and would like to discuss with Ms. Oliver her vision of how the data sciences can be deployed to improve Seattle’s socioeconomic and cultural good.

Hello, can you please let me know how we can get a yard sign to support Ms. Oliver?
  • commented 2017-07-18 13:47:53 -0700
    Dear Ms. Oliver,

North East Seattle Together (NEST, www.nestseattle.org) is a 5 year old community building nonprofit of 180 members and over 200 volunteers focusing on seniors in Northeast Seattle. In 2015 we held a successful and well-attended public forum for candidates for City Council districts 4 and 5 and are planning a forum for the final two Mayoral candidates on October 16 at from 2:00 – 3:30 PM at the Brig in Magnuson Park. The main focus will be issues affecting seniors, but the forum is not limited to these issues. We are planning to have opening and closing statements, questions determined by our members, and open audience questions.

We are asking you to commit, should you become a candidate in the general election, to participate in our forum. It will be publicized to and open to the general public.

To confirm, or if you have any questions, please contact me at 206-420-3997, mobile 914-649-8396, or return email.

    Sincerely,

    Robert Waldman

    Member, Board of Directors,

    Hello,

My name is Kris Johansen. I’m disabled, unemployed and a strong supporter of Nikkita Oliver. I was wondering if the Oliver campaign/Peoples Party wouldn’t mind donating a couple of yard signs to me so I can put them up at some good locations my family lives at.

If that’s something you think you could do then if possible could they be dropped at the location below? I’m unable to drive or pick things up conveniently. The signs can be left in the garage, patio or knock and give it to whoever is there. They will know what it’s for.

    The address is 1813 N 167th St – Shoreline 98133

Thank you for your time and hard work!
